Here’s Packers coach Mike McCarthy’s post-practice comments on:

Here’s Packers coach Mike McCarthy’s post-practice comments on:

* Ryan Pickett, who did not practice because of a quad injury: There’s hope that he may go tomorrow and for sure probably Friday, but I don’t have great concern about him not being available on Sunday.

* Marshall Newhouse, who was limited with a wrist: I don’t have a high level of concern, either.

* Any chance Benson could play this season: He’s actually going through an evaluation as we speak, and we have not heard the results of that. He had a 1 o’clock appointment today.

* Clay Matthews: Had a chance to watch Clay go through the rehab today. He wants the opportunity to talk on Friday. I think it will be a stretch for him to play.

* Two D-linemen hurt, with CJ Wilson out: The initial diagnosis is that CJ will probably not make it back this week. We’ll see where he is for Detroit.

* Practice intensity: I thought today’s practice was solid. Wasn’t the best practice we’ve ever had. We’re going half inside and half outside, the quality of work inside was good. As far as the energy, focus, I thought it was very good.

* Why have you won 9 straight division games: Coaching (laughter). I didn’t realize we had won nine in a row.

* Considering changing o-line: That’s hypothetical. It wasn’t our best performance but when we line up Sunday we’ll be playing with the same people.

* Sherrod: He wasn’t close enough. If were close, we might have entertained the thought of keeping him on the 53.

* Being critical of your own play calling: That’s a little bit of emotion from me talking after the game, but you have to be accountable as the head coach. Always critical of the things I can do, and that’s really what the message.

Also, here’s some highlights from the injury report:

Greg Jennings was a full participant.

Charles Woodson (collarbone) and Sam Shields (ankle) have again been ruled out.
